Leadership for Equity & Opportunity Program Launched with 78 Bay Area Game Changers

A big Thank You to everyone who helped launch the Leadership for Equity & Opportunity (LEO) Program Cohort 1 on March 22- 24, 2017!
The theme of session I focused on Being Change, where participants discovered who they are as community leaders and their shared values. They identified and unleashed their greatness and inner-capacity that keep them committed to the work in the face of challenging times. They learned how to listen deeply for shared values and opportunities to leverage change through the three critical components of sustainable change (solving problems, shifting systems and activating potential).
We had 78 participants who are not just talking about change, but disrupting what's not working and creating alternative in the area of Education, Employment, and Basic Needs. They represented Bay Area organizations and agencies such as Marin Community Foundation, Richmond Community Foundation, SparkPoint Marin, Success Center SF, Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), REDF, SF Government and Public Health, Catholic Charities SF and Santa Rosa, YWCA San Francisco & Marin, YMCA, HOPE SF, Everyone Home Alameda County, Ensuring Opportunity Campaign to End Poverty in Contra Costa County, Contra Costa County Employment & Human Services, Community Action Marin, Live Healthy Napa County, California Work and Family Coalition, Applied Survey Research, Sonoma County Employment & Eligibility Services, United Way Bay Area, and United Way of Santa Cruz County - just to name a few!
We look forward to session II-Designing Change in May with these game changers!
