Rise Together Welcomes New Executive Director, Megan Joseph


Rise Together is thrilled to welcome Megan Joseph as our new Executive Director. Megan was previously the Director of Community Organizing for United Way of Santa Cruz County, where she developed multiple county-wide initiatives addressing issues ranging from childhood obesity to youth violence prevention and criminal justice reform. Megan also developed the Leadership for Community Transformation program with Dr. Monica Sharma, which supports leaders at all levels in the community in designing and leading transformative and sustainable social change projects. Through this program, over 300 leaders in the county have been trained. Megan has also taught master's-level classes in Diversity, Community and Consciousness & Leadership at JFK University. Megan earned her BA in Criminology and Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an MA in Consciousness and Transformative Studies from JFK University, and an MA in Criminology, Law and Society from U.C. Irvine.
